Happier Beauty Launches World’s First Refillable Toothpaste Dispenser
Happier Beauty has announced that they are developing the world’s first refillable toothpaste dispenser with biodegradable refill capsules.
Happier Beauty is on a mission to help tackle the tonnes of plastic waste that is produced by toothpaste tubes each day. The company already has its own brand of 100% recyclable toothpaste and is also vegan and cruelty free.
Happier Beauty’s new refillable toothpaste dispenser will be another big step towards eliminating standard toothpaste tubes which are notoriously difficult to recycle and result in 1.5 billion plastic toothpaste tubes ending up in landfill every year.
“It is becoming clear that recycling will not save us from the climate crisis, and so Happier Beauty wanted to take it one step further by creating a truly circular refillable and reusable solution. We are so excited to be the world’s first toothpaste company to bring a refillable toothpaste dispenser to market. Refills are becoming more popular across food and beauty so why not dental care? Toothpaste is a product we all use twice a day but innovation in this market has been pretty slow up until now,” says Faye Wilson, Founder of Happier Beauty.
The innovative toothpaste dispenser will be made of aluminium and 50% recycled plastic, and the refill capsules made out of biodegradable bioplastic. The refill capsules will be sent out as a subscription, along with the reusable dispenser in the first subscription order. As always, customers will be able to choose the frequency of their subscription with our flexible subscription package.
The new refillable dispenser, will hit the market in spring 2022.
